Mod Podge Canvas ( using white school glue though)
Made for my mother in law for Mother's Day...
So.. I spread the glue over the canvas, then used really thick tissue paper, ripped it up into strips and layered everything down, making sure there were no bubbles, covering each piece with glue with my paint brush.
After I covered the whole canvas, this is what it looked like. ( I printed out this picture, then ripped it into this shape, I wanted it to look old and tattered, but used the same process above)
Then I used some gold Glimmer Mist to spritz the outside edges of this project.
After everything dried, it was time to add the fun stuff... I used ribbon, Mulberry flowers, Metal Flowers, flat back pearls, rhinestones and lace at the end.
I also used LuminArt, which is a pearled water color paint. I used it on the flowers, her hair, dress and her hat.
I used some metal key charms and glues them to the flowers. I also added some metal corner pieces after adding the lace border.
and added a pair of Cameo earrings. I just hung them through the holes in the key handle. ( not as decoration, but she can take them off and wear them)
Added a scripture sentiment a the top.
AND... finished!
Flat back Pearls, Rhinestones, Metal Flowers, Metal Key charms, Clock charm, Metal Corner Pieces and Lace were purchased from Miriam's Crafting Supplies
