Here's my project which I hope you enjoy <insert project and recipe here>

Here's my project. 8 stained glass wine glasses. I used Glass Stain by Deco Art.

Step 1: I got 8 wine glasses, drew the image on the glass with a sharpie. I printed out pictures to use as a guide.

Step 2: I used Liquid Leading, to trace the image. This allows it to look like a real stained glass window, with the raised black lines. ( Also helps keep the stain with in the lines while wet.)

Step 3: Color. I would heat set ( with my heat gun) each color to prevent dripping while moving the glass around.

These have to cure for 2 weeks to make sure it's completely dry, in order to use them!
Hope you enjoyed my project.

Welcome to the White as Snow Blog Hop where the idea was to either create something that has white as a primary color or as the background. I'm sure some of these crafty bloggers got creative and combined both but you will only be able to find out by hopping along with us today...

Our hostess for this hop is Jearise from Lorby's World (link to - http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com) and it's a good thing to start at her blog because she has a special give away of her own and all the details are on her blog.

We also have a guest blogger, Anita from Anita and Bugs, who also has an awesome give away on her blog.

Our wonderful sponsor for today's blog hop is THE CUTTING CAFE (link to - http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/) so please make sure you visit their online store to see all the wonderful cutting and printable files they have.

The Cutting Cafe is giving away to one lucky winner 3 files of their choice. To qualify, you need to visit The Cutting Cafe store (link to - http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/) and then "like" The Cutting Cafe on FACEBOOK (link to - https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Cutting-Cafe/162767407068793?ref=ts&fref=ts) and let Regina, the owner, know that you came from the White as Snow Blog. I can tell you now that if you like printable sayings and cutting files, you will love her designs and she has specials going on all the time on her FACEBOOK page.

Now on to the hop...

Here's a card I made using white cardstock for the card, white lace, white ribbon with Minnie's on it and embossed a shimmer white piece of scrapping paper with a zebra folder. I used red cardstock for a little bit of color to match the ribbon, and also used red and white twine. I used some bling ( and the lace was from her too) from Miriam's Crafting Supplies to make a Mickey icon in the corner and added a metal sticker that says "Imagine".

Thank you so much for joining us today and your next stop is Tabetha~ http://tabethascreations.blogspot.com/

My mommy's Christmas Gift

(I used black vinyl on the front of the glass to add the title)
Here's the final piece, it's a 9x20 shadowbox frame. So the character's were pretty small, and a TON of little tiny pieces!!

So, my mom had planted a thought of what she wanted to do with MY skills, lol! She wanted me to make her paper piecings so she could put together a shadowbox frame type deal. I told her it would have to wait until after Christmas because I was making all of my gifts this year and wouldn't have the time.

So, I was thinking about it, trying to figure out a way to make it match her house. ( She has an old 1920's Craftsman Bungalow in Southern California) That's the house I grew up in so I know it well. She's a Disney freak, like I am, so I know what she likes. She wanted Snow White, real classic and woodsy type piece. So here's what I cam up with! BTW.. I gave it to her for Christmas and she actually cried!! She said, it was like I climbed into her brain, and pulled out all of the images that she imagined it would look like, and put it into reality for her! That made my day!

I do have to give a HUGE shout out to one of my besties Callyann Cornwell! This was like the ONLY Disney Cricut cat I didn't have, so she loaned it to me! Thank you Love!!!
With out the title
used 3D foam adhesive to make them dimensional
trying to figure out a place all of the characters
Used the Immortal paper stack for the trees lol!
Trees had about 3-4 layers to make them fill up the shadow box frame
tiny pieces!! lol
done with the background
done with the characters.. inked all of the edges and gave them all shadowing and chalked their cheeks for more of a realistic look
all coming together
they all had different amount of foam adhesive to give them different depths in the frame

My mom has already put in another order for a Pinocchio one next! I guess she liked it so much, that she wants to fill her house with more!!

Hope you all enjoyed looking at my progress through this project!

Happy New Year!
